Vivaspin 20 centrifugal devices allow rapid concentration of protein and nanoparticle samples up to 20 ml in volume. They can be used in rotors accepting 50 ml centrifuge tubes or used with air pressure. The patented twin vertical PES membrane design minimizes filter fouling while providing the fastest spin times. The built in dead stop pocket provides maximum concentrate recovery. Some Vivaspin 20 devices are available for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) applications and have been used to concentrate urine samples prior to electrophoresis for diagnosis of multiple myeloma, light chain amyloidosis and related blood disorders. Sebia and Helena Labs both recommend the use of Vivaspin 20 devices to prepare urine samples for their capillary electrophoresis systems.
